Today’s Diário da República, the Portuguese Offical Journal, contains the Lei 5/2004 das Comunicações Electrónicas.

The law transposes the new EU regulatory framework for electronic communications, and comes into force one day after its publication, i.e. on 11 Feb 2004.

The full text of the law has been available for some weeks (see also our news item of 13 Jan 2004).

Lei 5/2004 (in Portuguese), in the format as it was published in the Diário da República, is accessible from the ANACOM website by clicking here.
