The Irish regulatory authority ComReg has published a consultation document addressing the details of Eircom’s operational expenditure relating to the provision of  unbundled local loops (ULL) to competing operators.

Specifically, the consultation document seeks input on ComReg’s proposed econometric modelling of “Direct and Indirect Operating Expenditure“, and relies heavily on precedents in the United States. The reliance upon precedent in the United States is itself one of the subjects of the public consultation.

Responses to the public consultation are due by 26 March 2004.
