On 12 March 2004, the Portuguese regulatory authority ANACOM opened a public consultation on the definition of relevant markets for low bandwidth switched fixed services and SMP assessment in those markets.

The ANACOM consultation covers retail markets (the market for access to the public telephone network at fixed locations and the market for publicly available telephone services at a fixed location) as well as wholesale markets (the market for call origination, and the market for wholesale call termination on individual fixed public telecommunications networks).

Three ANACOM documents (in Portuguese)  concerning these market reviews can be accessed by clicking here.

The deadline for responses is 26 April 2004.
