Whilst it was formally adopted by the Asembleia da República on 11 Dec 2003, the text of the new Portuguese Law on Electronic Communications was subject to finalisation of certain details in a Parliamentary committee.

The final text is now available, but it has not yet been published in the Diário da República, and is therefore not yet in force.
