Romania: ANRC review on fixed-mobile substitution Print E-mail
Monday, 12 January 2004
Image

Romania is neither an EU Member State, nor among the Accession Countries joining the EU on 1 May 2004, but it has voluntarily transposed the new EU regulatory framework for electronic communications.

The regulatory authority ANRC is defining markets and conducting market analyses accordingly.

The ANRC has just launched six retail market studies, which will inform the market analysis.

Amongst others, these studies address the impact of mobile telephony on fixed telephony for individuals and for business customers, i.e. fixed-mobile substitution.

Further studies on Internet access and leased lines markets are also being conducted.

The ANRC anouncement (in English) can be accessed by clicking here.
