The Hungarian regulatory authority NHH has today published an invitation to tender for 4 frequency blocks (each consisting of 2x15 MHz -duplex- FDD and 5 MHz TDD) for the provision of third generation mobile services, according to the IMT-2000/UMTS standard.

The official tender documentation must be requested from the NHH after showing proof of payment of 750 000 Forint (€3 015) into the regulatory authority’s bank account.

The frequencies will be available for fifteen years. Winners of the tender will be obliged to activate the service for their end-users by Jan 2006.

Bids will have to be submitted on 2 Nov 2004 between 9.00h and 12.00h.
