OPTA, the Dutch regulatory authority, has formed an Economic Analysis Team (EAT) and has announced that it will be holding a series of Round Table meetings to discuss major issues of economic regulation.

The first Round Table meeting will be held on 5 February 2004, and will discuss an EAT paper, which is available in English, and entitled “Economic considerations on balancing infrastructure and services based competition”.

Further papers will be published, always at least one month ahead of the Round Table meeting, on topics including:

  • Price discrimination
  • Strategic behaviour and new services
  • Infrastructure and services competition on the broadband internet access market
  • Vertical integration and foreclosure

Future OPTA EAT papers and Round Table meetings will be announced on this page, and will also be included on the T-REGS Events Calendar.
